According to The Daily Mail, Aston Villa are looking into the possibility of signing Leicester’s Layton Ndukwu with our resident Villans fans here in the Transfer Tavern excited by the young prospect.
According to the report the player’s contract is up at the end of this season and with him available on a free we could be about to see a serious battle to get him in for next year.
Primarily a left-winger, Ndukwu can also play through the middle as a striker or down the right side and has been a regular for the Premier League champions’ U23 side this season.
He has three goals and four assists from his 16 appearances so far this year for the youth side and our landlord reckons he could be one to watch for the future, particularly if he moves to Villa under Steve Bruce.
Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks that Villa already have a host of young talent at the club, and think bolstering it even more would be a very wise choice for the future.
Would you take him Villa or Baggies fans? How good could he be? Let us know below!
