Tim Sherwood has certainly made an impact during his short time as Aston Villa manager. Last season he saved them from relegation and earned a place in the final of the FA Cup, whilst this summer he has already signed 10 new players.
And reports from the Telegraph suggest it could soon be 11, with the Villains ready to battle Tottenham for the signature of Chelsea outcast Victor Moses.
Punters here in the Transfer Tavern remember when Moses was considered one of the brightest prospects in the country, but his career has struggled to get going over the past few years.
Chelsea signed him after an impressive spell at Wigan in 2012 for a fee of £9million, and despite impressing in their Europa League winning campaign that season, he was sent to Liverpool on a season long loan in 2013.
The Nigerian struggled to make any sort of impact at Anfield, and last season started to rediscover some form during another loan spell, this time at Stoke City.
That spell seems to have convinced Sherwood he can do a job at Villa Park, although our landlord points out that it will be tricky to land him given that former club Tottenham are also in the mix!
