Aston Villa are yet to sign a single player in the transfer market but after publicly backing Steve Bruce and bringing in new investors, the Villans still have time to make amends.

After dramatically losing the play-off final to Fulham last year, it's almost as if the Villans remain stunned and hence why they haven't made any movement in the transfer market. Fans are desperate to see their beloved team return to the top flight but that will only be possible if the right players are brought in and they're sensible in deciding who should be let go.

A player that could be influential for Aston Villa is Leonardo Ulloa, who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt

The 32-year-old has returned to Leicester City after his loan with Brighton but his first-team chances don't exactly look promising under Claude Puel. A move away from the Premier League right now may be welcomed by the Argentinean seeing as though he only mustered 2 appearances from the start of the game last season.

Aston Villa also have a good bunch of attacking options with Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan being the leading front men but with Hogan currently out injured, Ulloa could provide the Villans with a terrific back-up source and a completely different option in attack.

New powerful, wealthy investors have arrived just at the right time it seems so with the freedom to be able to spend once again, Leonardo Ulloa is the striker Aston Villa simply have to sign if they want to believe they have a chance of gaining promotion.

He certainly isn't getting any younger but as he has previously shown, Ulloa can be a very handy finisher and Villa certainly shouldn't be saying no to one of those.

Is Ulloa the answer to Villa's problems... Let us know!
