‘All Bruce’s fault’ – Aston Villa fans on Twitter react to fitness update

The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern have just about given up on their hopes of gaining automatic promotion this season. The club sit 4th the in table and four points behind Cardiff in second, although the Bluebirds have a game in hand over them. The aim for Steve Bruce’s side now will be to gain momentum ahead of the playoffs and the club travel to Ipswich tomorrow in hope of that, though they’ll have to get by without the injured Jonathan Kodjia.

Kodjia has missed a significant amount of Aston Villa’s current season with an injury and he seems to be on the comeback trail just in time for the playoffs. The Villains acquired Lewis Grabban on loan in January to fill the goalscoring void left by the injured Kodjia and now with the two of them battling it out for a starting place, the club look well equipped to tackle the playoffs.

So far, the Ivorian frontman has been limited to just 13 Championship appearances and has only managed a single goal in that time. Bruce would’ve hoped to have him for fit the visit to Portman Road as he looks to get some more minutes under his belt in the club’s last three games before they brave the playoffs. Steve Bruce will be confident going into the game against Ipswich as they face a club who have won just one game in their last eight and who’ve been marooned in midtable all season.
