Aston Villa fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been in better spirits recently following the announcement of new owner, Tony Xia, but one Villan at the bar has spotted some news which may dampen their moods.
According to Sports Illustrated, Brad Guzan could be on his way out of Villa Park this summer after a thoroughly miserable season in the Midlands.
The 31-year old was repeatedly dropped in favour of Mark Bunn as the club sank like a stone and meekly accepted their fate as a Championship club as early as January.
It is claimed that the former Chivas custodian would be open to a move back to the MLS this summer if the right offer were to come about.
Still, there are reportedly offers from the Premier League in order to keep the USMNT international on these shores, after he previously showed good form for the club before this season.
The stopper joined Villa in 2008 and has made 144 senior appearances for the club, helping his side to an FA Cup final in 2015.
Can Guzan still cut it in the Premier League?
