Aston Villa: Andre Green shares his favourite Villa moment

Aston Villa winger Andre Green, on loan at Charlton, has prompted a reaction from plenty of fans after sharing his favourite moment in a claret and blue shirt on Twitter.
Having been at Villa Park since the age of nine, Green turned out to be a successful academy graduate at the club, developing rapidly to make his first team debut against Tottenham Hotspur in 2016.
As his development in senior football continued, the speedy winger was shipped out on loan to Portsmouth for the first six months of last season. Being recalled last January, Green played a part in helping Villa gain promotion via the play-offs, being handed playing time by boss Dean Smith.
Posting an image of himself holding up the Championship play-off trophy, Green reminded Villa fans of his appearances and contributions towards their promotion to the Premier League.

During the 2018/19 campaign for Villa, the Solihull-born winger featured 18 times in the league, scoring one goal and gaining one assist in the process, before going on to play three times en route to play-off glory.
Whilst some fans of the Midlands looked back on the moment fondly, others said they believed his header against Sheffield United from February last year was better, helping Villa seal a 3-3 draw with the Blades.

I think either the Sheff Utd last minute goal or goal against Norwich might beat this

Green, who is now on loan at Charlton, joining the Addicks last summer, has featured 14 times, netting two goals and assisting once.
Set to return to Villa Park this summer when his loan deal expires, some fans issued a response wanting Green to be handed another chance at the club, with one fan tweeting: “Come back stronger”.
Hopefully we get to see you in an Aston Villa shirt in the future again! Can’t imagine what it must be like to have this feeling playing for your boyhood club and one you joined as a young lad. Claret and Blue suits you anyway @AndreGreen_ #avfc

Villa, who sit 19th in the Premier League as things stand, are desperate to remain in the top flight after gaining that promotion last season.
Green’s future is not yet known but, if the Midlands club drop down a division, his prospects of playing regularly for them could increase. One Villa fan, however, feels Smith and the club could do with his services sooner rather than later.
We need you andre
