Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern will have received a timely boost as they head into their final four matches of the season and continue their aims to charge towards the top of the table.
The Villans currently sit in fourth and will know they need a number of results to go their way should they get an automatic spot, however, optimism around the club is not lacking. The Villa Park outfit has had a mixed run of form recently, although Steve Bruce will be hoping it’s just wins from now on.
Alan Hutton is set to return to training later this week, according to the club’s official Twitter handle, as he steps up his recovery from injury and Villa will be looking towards him for his experience. The Scottish defender has been out for the last three matches against Reading, Norwich City and Cardiff City with a hamstring injury and has been missed.

Should Aston Villa beat Leeds United on Friday night and results go their way on Saturday, the Villans will have secured themselves at least a playoff spot and will be in fine confidence that they can go on and be promoted at the end of the campaign.
Locals will be pleased that the 33-year-old will be back in training soon and should be ready for their final run-in, which includes fixtures against Leeds, Ipswich Town, Derby County and Millwall. As you can imagine, it’s gone down a storm amongst our resident Villians.
