One of Aston Villa’s worst nightmares this January will be the possibility of losing Tammy Abraham at the midway stage of the season.
And, according to a report, that could soon become a reality for the Championship side.
Abraham has been in prolific form for the Villans this season as Dean Smith’s side look to win promotion from the Championship.
The England Under-21 international has netted 16 times in his 20 league appearances and has played a key role in the guiding the club to their current position.
Should Abraham leave the club in January, it will come as a huge blow to their chances of winning promotion to the Premier League.
Villa will have been encouraged by the news that Chelsea were not willing to let go of him permanently, however, it appears they could still take him away from Villa Park.
However, it would now seem that Smith will need to try and find another striker in the January transfer market to try and fill the huge void the 21-year-old’s potential departure will leave.
