Aston Villa were held to a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday as they continue to look for a win in the Championship.
Dean Smith’s side have managed to record just one victory in their last ten matches in England’s second tier.
Injuries have certainly played their part in making it difficult for The Villans to pick up points, and it appears things are not going to get any better on that front.
According to a report by the Birmingham Mail, Alan Hutton had to limp off the pitch just three minutes after kickoff.
The right-back saw his side go behind as he was receiving treatment on the sidelines, however, he had to be subsequently replaced by Albert Adomah, who got their equaliser.
Hutton’s injury could come as a potentially huge blow to Smith and Aston Villa as their injury list continues to get even longer.
The Scot joins the likes of Jack Grealish, Axel Tuanzebe, Tom Carroll and James Chester on the treatment table as they continue to search for three points.
The Villans will be hopeful that Hutton is not out for a lengthy period of time, as he remains a key part of Smith’s first-team.
