Aston Villa excited about potential Tyrone Mings return

Now that Aston Villa are in the Premier League they will be looking for new recruits to ensure they stay there.
However, the first port of call has been making sure one of their standout players from this season remains at Villa Park and, according to the Times, they are aiming to do exactly that.

Having joined the club on loan in January, Mings had an incredible impact as Villa only lost twice in the 18 games he played for them.
He showed how intelligent he can be on the pitch with his positioning, as he made 1.2 interceptions per game, while also averaging 4.3 clearances every match according to WhoScored.
To potentially sign a player who has had so much influence this season for £15 million could turn out to be a great deal for the club.
While Aston Villa have of course made the move for their own benefit, this transfer will be a brilliant step for Mings’ career.
There has been a clear struggle for game time since his move to AFC Bournemouth in 2015, so moving to Villa could be his best chance of becoming a regular feature in a Premier League team.
Meanwhile, Eddie Howe’s club will have earned profit on Mings, despite the defender not representing Bournemouth very often, meaning this is a move which works for everyone.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the potential move, including posts from excited Aston Villa fans, can be seen below:
