Indeed, the former Liverpool boss is understood to feel he has taken the Scottish champions as far as he can under the current financial constraints the club are dealing with.
And, clubs in England believe the 45-year-old would quit Glasgow if the right opportunity arose, with the Midlands club expected to put that theory to the test.
Brendan Rodgers has won a countless amount of trophies during his time at Celtic, but his managerial career in Scotland appears to be coming to an end.
Indeed, the Midlands club are expected to test the theory that the former Liverpool boss would be tempted to move back to England, which means that they could make an approach for him in the near future.
