Aston Villa have been rather impressive under the guidance of Dean Smith, but improvements are still required with the January transfer window not too far away.
The Villain’s wont accept anything less than a play-off spot in the current campaign, having come on leaps and bounds over the past month or so.
But, it appears as if the Midlands club may wave goodbye to one of their promising players, as according to Birmingham Live, Dean Smith has stated that Andre Moreira’s loan spell could be cut short in January.
Andre Moreira’s season-long loan spell at Aston Villa could be cut short in January.
Indeed, the goalkeeper hasn’t played a single minute in the league or even made it into Smith’s matchday 18 this term, with Lovre Kalinic’s arrival only making it harder for him to break into the side.
“At the moment Andre has not really been pushing,”
“It is something we will look at in January.”
“I have spoken to Andre about that already.”
Andre Moreira is a very promising goalkeeper, who could have a bright future. But, he hasn’t been able to enjoy regular minutes all season, and didn’t exactly impress under Steve Bruce.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the Portuguese shot-stopper is expected to leave in the January transfer window as he will offer nothing in their promotion push.
