Aston Villa eyeing multi-million pound move as Premier League challenge is lined up

Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern have got big smiles on their faces and have done ever since their derby win over Birmingham yesterday afternoon.

Indeed, with the result keeping the Blues firmly in the relegation picture in the Championship, the Villans were even more jubilant than usual as they themselves look to be challenging for promotion in the second tier.

That charge, then, has to start here whilst summer dealings are also going to be crucial to any surge and it appears that Aden Flint of Bristol City could be a target when the window opens.

That, at least, is according to The Sun on Sunday printed version – via HITC – with the centre-half valued at £5 million.

Certainly, then, that kind of money is more than spendable for a club like Villa and our landlord reckons there’ll be plenty more where that comes from this summer as they look to get back into the top flight.
