During one of Central Coast Mariners’ pre-season friendlies against Macarthur South West United in New South Wales, former Aston Villa man Ross McCormack and the world-record sprinter Usain Bolt played together and formed an unlikely striking partnership. The former grabbed a goal whilst the latter bagged a brace, the first of which McCormack assisted, to seal a 4-0 victory in his first ever start in professional football. As expected, the Mariners new frontline has sent Twitter into a frenzy with many Villa and football fans confused yet impressed at the same time.

Ross McCormack went from having Steve Bruce shouting abuse at him from behind his gate to setting up Usain Bolt in Australia. Miracles do happen. #avfc
