Aston Villa: Fans debate player exits if Jack Grealish leaves

Many Aston Villa fans have debated the futures of Tyrone Mings and John McGinn, growing concerned both could leave this summer if Jack Grealish is sold.
The Premier League future of Dean Smith’s side is not yet known with football currently postponed and the club sitting in 19th position.
Relegation to the Championship, just one season after gaining promotion to England’s top flight, could prove catastrophic for the Midlands based club with the potential of players leaving continuing to be heard in various media outlets.
One of those players linked with a summer move away from Villa Park has been Grealish (valued at £27.5m by Transfermarkt), who has arguably had his best season in a Claret and Blue shirt, contributing to the cause with seven goals and six assists.
Everton have been consistently linked with a move for the English youngster, whilst Manchester United have also been reported to have looked at a potential deal.
Whilst Grealish continues to be linked with an exit, two of Villa’s other top performers in Mings and McGinn have also gained interest.
Reacting to a tweet by Twitter account @Total_Villa, fans did not seem very confident Mings or McGinn would remain at the club, insisting that if Grealish goes they will both follow him out of the door…
A great point made by @danbardell and @greggevans40 on the 1874 podcast that if we lose Jack Grealish, we have to make sure we convince players like Tyrone Mings and John McGinn that Villa is an aspirational club and not a selling club happy with just surviving each season #avfc pic.twitter.com/CE5wphHCQR

Well Edens comments about wanting to be a top4 club certainly doesn’t sound like he’s just looking for survival each season. He also said he’s a very impatient man.

It will all be decided by what league we’re in, no amount of persuasion will matter

Good luck with that!!

Unless Grealish isn’t who I think he is, I can only see him, Mings and Mcginn leaving if villa go down. Still then I reckon it take around 100 milli all together. As long as we are top flight, with ambitious owners I can’t see why he would want to leave.

I think all 3 are gone this summer or next.

If we start worrying that Mcginn and Mings are going to leave then we really would be showing no ambition
Can’t see anyone coming in for either of them unless we get relegated

I’m sure the Club will try to convince the likes of Grealish, McGinn and Mings to stay. However, you can’t blame them for leaving if a big Club comes in with big money.
