Aston Villa duo Jack Grealish and Bjorn Engels are both expected to be available for their upcoming Premier League fixture against Newcastle United, that is according to The Athletic reporter Gregg Evans.
Engels missed the Villans 2-1 defeat against Wolves last time out with a hip injury (Transfermarkt), whilst Grealish has been absent for their last two Premier League fixtures with a calf problem (Transfermarkt).
But it appears that both could be back to face the Magpies, which would be a major boost for manager Dean Smith.
Indeed, they have both been regulars in the first team this season, Engels had started all 11 league fixtures prior to the Wolves clash (Transfermarkt) whilst Grealish had started the 10 before his injury worries (Transfermarkt).
Villa have lost their last three Premier League fixtures in a row (Transfermarkt), so will be desperate to end that run and pick up three much-needed points against Newcastle.
It would be fair to say that the majority of Aston Villa supporters are delighted with the news that the duo are expected to play on Monday, in what looks a huge game in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Here is how some fans reacted to the injury update on Twitter…
