Aston Villa: Fans discuss the potential of Axel Tuanzebe

Many Aston Villa fans have assessed the ability of former defender Axel Tuanzebe, who spent time at Villa Park on loan from Manchester United.
Joining United’s academy setup at the age of eight, Tuanzebe developed through the various youth ranks at Old Trafford, winning the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award in the process. Making his first team debut with the Red Devils in 2017 against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup, the DR Congo-born defender would then be shipped out on loan to gain first team experience.
Joining Villa in the January transfer window of 2018, the youngster battled some early injuries during his time in the Midlands before spending the remainder of that season and the entire 2018/19 campaign at Villa Park, returning to his parent club following promotion last May.
However, playing time at Old Trafford has been infrequent this season as the 22-year-old has made just five Premier League appearances in the current campaign.
Reacting to a comment made by one Villa supporter on Twitter about Tuanzebe, these fans gave an opinion on the defender…
Axel Tuanzebe is one of the most gifted young CB’s I’ve seen at Aston Villa – I would have him back in a heartbeat.
Calculated in the tackle, composed when playing out, and intelligent positioning.
If Axel can keep his injuries at bay, he will be a future England international. pic.twitter.com/YH9YAxSFCO

Quality player I think him and Konsa could be brilliant together but for now get him alongside Mings and tell Hause he’s a LB!

Would love to have him back, calm, composed and a damn good defender.
Can’t understand why Man Utd havent used him this season.— Gary Glasgow (@GPDecorating) May 18, 2020
It is absolutely criminal this lad can’t get a game. Either play him or sell him OGS.
