Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are seriously nervous about this weekend’s game against Norwich City in the Championship and you can see why that is.
Though the game is at Villa Park, there’s going to be a real air of apprehension around the fixture with Villa starting the season well below par.
Indeed, they have just a point from their opening three games and so there is a lot of work to do but they know a win over a decent Norwich side should galvanise the players.
It remains to be seen, then, what happens in this big clash but, as per Steve Bruce via the club’s twitter account, Mile Jedinak is back in training and could be fit for the match.

This news, then, will have been welcomed by Villa fans all over – as well as in the bar here – with the powerful Australian a huge cog in the club’s wheel.
Indeed, he adds a superb amount of steel and grit into the centre of the park and our local Villans are hoping that he’s going to get a full ninety minutes in.
Our Aston Villa fans have not been happy in recent weeks but this news has gone some way to putting smiles back on faces.
Jedinak really is one of the club’s most important players and to have him potentially back for this crucial game at the weekend is, naturally, a huge boost to all connected with the club.
