Several Aston Villa fans are not too fussed with the fact that the club failed to sign Hertha Berlin forward Salomon Kalou in the last transfer window.
Speaking to the German media (via Birmingham Live), the ex-Chelsea man revealed that former team-mate John Terry called him as the Midlands outfit explored the idea of bringing him to Villa Park. However, due to restrictions on non-European players who are not regulars in their national team, a move did not materialise.
At 34 years of age and following his spell at Stamford Bridge, Kalou would have brought plenty of experience to Dean Smith’s side as they look to beat the drop. The Ivorian scored eight goals in the Bundesliga last season and registered an average of 1.8 dribbles per game (via WhoScored), showing the attacking threat he possesses.
Will Aston Villa's defence cost them their Premier League status?
In the current campaign, out of all of Villa’s attackers, only Jack Grealish (2.4) has averaged more. Whatever the case, these Villa fans are not too bothered with the club missing out on the 2012 Champions League winner. Take a look at what they have had to say below…

He’s 35 this year, only played twice this season and averaged 1 in 4 for last 3 seasons in Germany. Not for me Clive.
