Aston Villa face a tricky set of fixtures when club football returns following the international break (@AVFCOfficial).
The Villans first game back is at home against Newcastle United and, whilst this one may have looked easy a couple of weeks ago, it now looks a lot tougher as Steve Bruce’s side have won their last two (Transfermarkt).
Is Wesley an upgrade on Tammy Abraham?
After that they face back-to-back away games against Manchester United and Chelsea, which is even more daunting.
United have lost just once at Old Trafford so far this season in the league (Transfermarkt), whilst Chelsea are enjoying a real hot streak of form having won their last six Premier League matches in a row (Transfermarkt).
It doesn’t get any easier following those two away trips either. They then take on Leicester City at home, who currently sit in second place in the Premier League, before travelling to Bramall Lane to take on fifth-placed Sheffield United (BBC Sport).
Added to that tough run of Premier League fixtures, they also take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals after those five games to cap off a really tough run.
Quite a few Aston Villa fans are quite daunted by their upcoming matches and can’t see Dean Smith’s side picking up too many points from them.
Here is what some had to say…
How can you tweet this with confidence 😂

4 points would be a success from the next 5

Honestly, happy with 4 points from that. As long as we beat Newcastle convincingly and give Man U and Sheffield a good go then I won’t be worried

Another scary run of games. Nothing soft but that’s part an parcel of being in this division i suppose
