What a game Leeds vs Aston Villa was. It was full of controversy and will be remembered by both sides for years to come. Marcelo Bielsa helped to undo one injustice from the clash, but Anwar El Ghazi’s sending off couldn’t be undone on the day. Now, though, it seems Patrick Bamford will be facing a retrospective ban and El Ghazi cleared.
Patrick Bamford will today be handed a two-match ban for the con-job which saw Aston Villa’s Anwar El Ghazi dismissed at Elland Road yesterday. [Sun] #avfc

According to The Sun Bamford will face a ban and the Villains couldn’t be happier to hear of that news. Some of them would rather see Bamford forced to play for Leeds as they face the playoffs considering how poor the Englishman has been for a lot of this season, missing chance after chance for the Yorkshire club. However, a ban is the right thing for Bamford as his antics were nothing short of disgraceful.
When Marcelo Bielsa gets the news of Bamford’s ban it will certainly won’t come as a surprise, and the chances are that the 25-year-old will have got an earful from his gaffer as well as some kind of punishment, given how Bielsa’s moral compass saw him allow Villa to score on Sunday. Regardless of any in-club punishments, Bamford should still be given an official sanction from the FA and a ban would be fitting.

No sense at all. Surely a 3 game ban! That’s what El Ghazi would have got it not seen on TV!

He should be given five, taking his elbow on Conor into account too

I think he should be banned for the rest of the season

I’d rather him not be banned, he’s useless and makes Leeds a worse team.

Enjoy watching the first leg son justice served

I think Leeds should be compelled to play him tbh….

That would be fair

The Villa fans are delighted to see Bamford getting banned, but a lot of them believe two games isn’t enough considering the incident with El Ghazi.
