Aston Villa fans on Twitter hate the idea of Allardyce being appointed

Aston Villa fans are in limbo at the moment. The international break has come at the right time as their club looks to appoint a new manager before their clash with Swansea on October 20th but there are still a lot of names being thrown around. Whilst speaking on the Alan Brazil breakfast show, Sam Allardyce claimed he’d speak to Villa if they approached him, and the fans hated it.
John Terry is favourite for the #AVFC job… but Sam Allardyce tells us he would be open to speaking to the club about the role if he is approached@AVFCOfficial fans, would you be happy with Big Sam taking charge of your club? pic.twitter.com/w0qMXzgKm9

The Villains quickly got sick and tired of Steve Bruce when things weren’t going well and his sacking last Wednesday after the 3-3 draw against Preston surprised no one. However, if the club made the move to appoint Sam Allardyce, most fans would be shocked, as well as frustrated. Allardyce has had numerous jobs in England and what you see is what you get, basic long ball football and a solid defence that will keep you in the Premier League.
Unfortunately, Villa aren’t in the Premier League and it’s hard to see Big Sam’s anti0football being an effective way to gain promotion, even if he has had success in the Championship before from his West Ham days, where he won the playoffs back in the 2011/12 season. Even with that success, the Villa Park faithful are adamant that they don’t want the 63-year-old to be appointed as they’d much rather see a fresher face come to the club to breathe some new life into a squad that’s been allowed to stagnate under the management of Steve Bruce.
You can see what The Villa fans make of Allardyce’s comments here:
No thanks we’ve just got rid of one dinosaur we don’t want another

Please god no! Need a manager 2 play attacking football, not another defensive dinosaur!!

What kind of lazy attitude is that! Move along Sam.

That’s handy, because Villa don’t fancy you for the job either.

Definitely not

Has been manager I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole

Why is there a tea boy job going there too

Nobody want him, nobody likes him.

The Villa fans are desperate to see their club steer clear of Allardyce and would hate to see the 63-year-old appointed.
