Aston Villa fans on Twitter have zero respect for classless Bamford

Sometimes, in games that are as highly strung as Leeds vs Aston Villa yesterday, incidents happen that players are not proud of, and hopefully, Patrick Bamford will be waking up full of regret. The Leeds’ striker was caught on camera pulling the wool over the linesman’s eyes as he got Anwar El Ghazi sent off despite a complete lack of contact.

El Ghazi will have been left wondering what he did when the referee came over and branded the red card, after having a chat with his assistant. The Villains were equally baffled, and when viewing the replays of the incident between Bamford and El Ghazi, it became obvious that the Leeds man had thoroughly embarrassed himself, pulling the sniper in the crowd act as he dropped to the floor despite El Ghazi’s apparent elbow finding thin air and not Bamford’s face.
It all came in the aftermath of Mateusz Klich’s controversial opener and as the melee broke out between Villa and Leeds players, Bamford obviously saw his opportunity to make it count. Whether or not he knew the officials were watching his particular part in it we’ll never know, but his theatrics led to his side being given a numerical advantage, even if it will certainly be rescinded by the EFL.

Should be overturned and Bamford should get the 3 match ban

Hope it gets overturned and Bamford gets 3 game ban for cheating

I’m afraid Patrick Bamford’s reaction is typical of the culture within the game
Red Card should be rescinded and a 1 game ban awarded to Bamford
Unless the FA set a positive example such blatant actions of cheating will continue unabated— Andy Williams (@DrZazlos) 28 April 2019
@timaviss that’s appalling from bamford. Surely that has to be rescinded!?

Awful. Bamford should be banned for his reaction.

I would be ashamed of myself if I did that

The Villains won’t forget Bamford’s antics in a hurry and when he next visits Villa Park it will be one hell of a reception the Englishman gets.
