Aston Villa fans are on the edge of their seats at the moment when it comes to appointing a new manager. The Villains are desperate to get the right man and don’t want to mess this one up as the club are already struggling in 15th. Thierry Henry is one name being thrown around and according to Sky Sports, the Frenchman is undecided over his future.

A lot of bookies have Henry down as the odds-on favourite to take over at Villa Park and whilst it would be a bold move to appoint the Frenchman, a lot of fans are keen to see him take the reigns at the club. The closest thing that Henry has to managerial experience is his role as Roberto Martinez number two with Belgium, a role which he is still active in as he helps prepare Belgium for upcoming games against Switzerland and The Netherlands.
Some Villa fans have been pretty clear that if Henry is undecided then they don’t want him as they believe their next manager should be 100% committed and jump at the chance to fill the vacant role at Villa Park. However, you can’t blame the former Arsenal and Barcelona man for being unsure, this is a move that could make or break his managerial career before it’s even started and he’ll need to think it through properly before giving The Villains an answer, and that’s only assuming the club do want him to take over and offer him a contract.
You can read The Villains’ reaction to the Henry update here:
Course he is – Villa is a difficult proposition. It's a risk. Especially for a first time manager. If he makes the club a success then *he* will be seen a success, but if not it won't exactly be a cracking start to a managerial career will it?

I don't blame the chap. A huge huge commitment.
With all that's gone on in the last 8 years, our "In/Out" fans, pressure of immediate promotion and a disjointed unbalanced team?
I'd be undecided too. One wrong move and a new managerial career could be ruined for him. #AVFC

'Undecided' is as good as we'll get whilst he actually away on international duty. It would be unprofessional to say anything else especially if he's keen to join us.

Wouldn’t blame him for saying no to us now. After we fobbed him off at start of season.

Problee been told he must deliver promotion this season and his thinking no chance

He’s on International duty with Belgium, wouldn’t expect him to say much really until that’s finished with

The Villains are undecided themselves over whether they want Henry or not, although they’re in agreement that they want the new man to be in place before their next game on October 20th.
