Aston Villa: Fans praise Trezeguet’s impact from the bench against Brighton

It was an excellent weekend for Aston Villa as they managed to rescue a victory against Brighton & Hove Albion at Villa Park (via Sky Sports).

The Villans were 1-0 down after Adam Webster had opened the scoring for the Seagulls, but goals from Jack Grealish and Matt Targett ensured that Dean Smith’s team came back to take all three points.

It would be fair to say that Villa were not at their best in the game, and despite Brighton having 10 men for 55 minutes (Sky Sports), it took the home side until the 94th minute to get a winning goal.

They did, however, look to perform better when they brought on winger Trezeguet as a 62nd-minute substitute. The 25-year-old began the season as a first-choice winger and started in five of their opening six Premier League fixtures. However, he has been forced to make do with substitute appearances in their last three (via Transfermarkt).

But after seeing the impact he made against Brighton, several Villa fans were left impressed with his performance and the impact he made on the game…
