Aston Villa: Fans react as club is linked with Milot Rashica

A lot of Aston Villa fans are discussing the latest transfer rumour linking Milot Rashica with a move to the Premier League side (via The Mirror).
The winger plays in the Bundesliga for Werder Bremen and has scored ten goals and provided five assists in the current campaign, per Transfermarkt. This is better than Villa wingers Anwar El Ghazi and Trezeguet (Transfermarkt) and added to that, as per Whoscored, Rashica also has better statistics when it comes to shots, key passes, and dribbles per game.
These stats highlight that he would be an upgrade on the current players available at the club, however he is valued at around £32.4 million, per Transfermarkt, which could be too much for the club. Whilst they have spent £143.19 million, per Transfermarkt, this season, they didn’t pay more than £22.5 million for any single player.
The links with such a player are exciting and show a lot of ambition given his numbers in Germany this season. But a transfer is likely to depend on whether Aston Villa can stay in the Premier League and whilst some supporters love being linked with Rashica, others think a transfer is unrealistic.
Here is what some fans said about the rumours, as one supporter praised what would be a ‘huge upgrade’:

It would be a great signing but I doubt it will happen. He will be joining BVB!

We will not get him while Suso is still here. Would be huge upgrade on the useless wingers we have. I can’t see it happening tho especially has Liverpool are reportedly after him too.

Christ I hope he’s decent and can cope if we’re still in the EPL. No good keep buying players like this and they’re irrelevant when playing for us!! Bought too many of these players last summer!!
