Aston Villa: Fans react as Trezeguet looks to be leaving the club

A lot of Aston Villa fans are reacting to the latest rumours which have linked Trezeguet with a move away from Villa Park.
According to Haber Kartali, via Sport Witness, there is an agreement in principle for the Egyptian to depart, with both the player and Turkish side Besiktas happy with all elements of the deal.
The winger signed for £9 million last summer after partaking in the African Cup of Nations, per Transfermarkt, but has had a difficult time adjusting to the Premier League. In his 24 appearances, he has scored three times and assisted twice.
He has also only managed 0.8 key passes a game, per Whoscored, and for a team who are battling for survival in the Premier League, as they sit in 19th and only two points away from safety, they have needed the winger to do more to help their season.
Fans have clearly felt like he will not be missed, with one saying he has been a ‘bigger disappointment than Wesley’ while another called him a ‘waste of space’. Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes has played 21 times, per Transfermarkt, scoring five goals before he was ruled out for the rest of the season in January due to a ligament injury.
Trezeguet is perhaps more suited to the Super Lig – he has already played there before, managing 22 goals in 65 appearances, per Transfermarkt.

We have championship level wingers which has been another thorn in our side. Hopefully they are silly enough to pay a nice fee for him.

Bigger disappointment than Wesley for me! I expected pace and quality but rarely showed either!

Apart from that semi final goal he may as well have not been here all this season.
