Aston Villa fans are purring after their 16-year-old youth forward Louie Barry scored once again for Villa’s U23s in a 3-1 defeat to Reading U23s last night (AVFC).
The teenager netted again last night and now Villa fans are calling for the player to have a bigger involvement in their fight for survival. Indeed, Barry has yet to make a senior appearance for Aston Villa but has been impressing for Villa’s U23 side in his first few appearances.
With previous appearances for Barcelona in his short career, it’s clear that Louie Barry has huge potential, and some Villa fans now want him to come into the side for the remaining fixtures as they battle to beat the drop. Indeed, some are even suggesting he should take the place of Trezeguet, who hasn’t scored a Premier League goal since early December.
Here’s what a few Aston Villa fans had to say about the young star on Twitter, as one supporter called him ‘our future’…
Louie Barry scoring is becoming as unsurprising and expected as Jack Grealish getting fouled 👀
