Aston Villa: Fans react to Christian Purslow’s comments about playing at neutral venues

Aston Villa chief executive Christian Purslow has given his views on proposed plans to finish the Premier League season at neutral venues across England.
Purslow, who works for 19th-placed Villa, has told talkSPORT in an exclusive interview that he does not agree to the idea of playing home games away from Villa Park. He joined Wednesday morning’s Breakfast Show to discuss ‘Project Restart’ – the Premier League’s plan to resume fixtures amid the ongoing pandemic.
Various ideas have been mentioned to potentially finish the English top flight’s season, with players expected to return to training in the coming weeks.
Do you think Aston Villa will stay up?
Yes

No chance

Dean Smith’s side have been inconsistent this season, but they do have a game in hand over their fellow relegation-threatened sides in the league table. Villa’s home form has been much better than when playing away, securing five victories at Villa Park, compared to just two on the road.
Reacting to Purslow’s comments via @villareport, these Villa fans gave their opinion on the matter…
Christian Purslow: “Personally I am against it (neutral venues). We are a club that prides itself on home form. Two-thirds of our wins this season came at home. We have six left.” [talksport] #avfc

Let’s put it like this they restart the season
Whenever and after say 4 games 5 some of the players start showing symptoms of crona virus so let’s say 5 of the first team there could even be deaths— chris green ❤ love for Florida 💯😍😎 (@chrisg160767) May 6, 2020
Points
Per
GameIt’s that simple for me.
As I’ve said before we haven’t stopped this virus being as potent as it is, we haven’t cured it. If they bring football back it will, somewhere down the line, be a cause of at least one death and that’s too many.
End it now

So we’ve played less games than everyone and less home games as well, yet they are still considering relegating us on current position?

Christian Purslow is like a star striker when it comes to negotiations with the Premier League.

I just wish someone would have the bottle to come out and say “we aren’t playing without the fans”.
