Aston Villa: Fans react to footage of Wesley training at home

Aston Villa fans have reacted to recent footage of £22m striker Wesley, training back in his homeland of Brazil.
With the Claret and Blue side gaining promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-off final last season, boss Dean Smith opted to bring in the Brazilian striker to bolster his attacking options.
Netting an impressive 17 goals in 48 games for Belgian side Club Brugge last term, the 23-year-old arrived in the Midlands looking to repeat that form, and after an initial adaptation to English football, he would net five goals Premier League goals.
Picking up an injury just after the turn of 2020 seemingly rocked Wesley’s season and it was expected that the striker would be out for the remainder of the season.
Do you think Aston Villa will stay up?
Yes

No chance

However, with the recent postponement in fixtures due to the pandemic, the Juiz de Fora born goalscorer is now stepping up his recovery and may yet return to action, if the club find a way around the Premier League ruling which means he and Tom Heaton may not be able to feature (Birmingham Mail).
Villa sit 19th in the Premier League standings at present and in desperate need of gaining wins if and when the 2019/2020 season resumes.
