Aston Villa: Fans react to reports that Danny Drinkwater’s career could be over

Many Aston Villa fans aren’t happy after the Express and Star is reporting that Danny Drinkwater’s future at the club could be over after a training ground bust-up with Jota Peleteiro.
He will be disciplined by the club after he was sent home from training at Bodymoor Heath by manager Dean Smith on Tuesday.
Drinkwater joined Villa on loan from Chelsea in January after the midfielder’s loan at Burnley was terminated. Indeed, he only played once for Burnley this season, and so far, he has only made four appearances for Villa.
The player was at Leicester City before he moved to Chelsea, and was part of one of the best stories in football as he was essential to the Leicester team that won the League under Claudio Ranieri in the 2015/16 season though has since seen his playing time reduced further and further.
Drinkwater will be unavailable to play this weekend due to the fact that Aston Villa are playing his parent club Chelsea but it will be interesting to see if he is still at Villa by the end of the week.
Is Danny Drinkwater finished at the top level?

Would love to know who actually sanctioned the Drinkwater signing, it has been a complete disaster from day 1, this guy was allegedly signed to be cover for McGinn – how could anybody think that was likely with his recent track record 🤷🏻♂️ hopefully it’s now goodbye, good riddance!
