Aston Villa: Fans react to shock summer transfer update

Aston Villa striker Wesley has been linked with a shock move away from the club in the summer, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 23-year-old is one of Trabzonspor’s top transfer targets, despite the fact he only joined the Midlands outfit last year.
After arriving at Villa Park from Club Brugge for £22.5m, the club’s record signing has struggled to make much of an impact during his first season in the Premier League, scoring just 5 goals in 21 games in the first division, before suffering a nasty cruciate ligament rupture.
His current market value is priced at £21.6m, close to the hefty price the board originally paid the Belgians, and it remains to be seen if the Claret and Blue will allow the Brazilian forward to leave Birmingham before the start of the next campaign.
Football reporter Ben Husband went on to claim the Turkish side are also interested in Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Newcastle United flop Joelinton, who has failed to live up to expectations so far, in spite of the hefty price tag (BBC).
Unsurprisingly, many Villans weighed in on the latest update, with one fan dubbing the trio “duffers,” and another adding Dean Smith should “let him go.”

Sorry but if any fan says yes to selling any of these players after a single year in the prem is fickle as hell…

Problem you have in my opinion is you need a striker and a keeper to hit the ground running. There’s a percentage of cover during a game for the other 9 players if they are having an off day. I wouldn’t sell but I wouldn’t be surprised if the next signing is another forward.

let him go, let him go, let him go, give him away!!!

I’d probably take £15m for him and wish him all the best at this stage.

Honestly wouldn’t be disappointed if Wes left. I’m not a nay sayers but he didn’t really bring anything to the table
