Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has been included in the England squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

The 26-year-old has made a solid start to life in the Premier League this season, playing every single minute so far and helping his club to two clean sheets while also claiming an assist (via Transfermarkt).

His good form has been recognised by Gareth Southgate, who has called up Mings for the second set of international fixtures in a row, having also selected him back in September.

The former Ipswich Town and AFC Bournemouth man didn't manage to get his first cap last time out, but will be hopeful of doing so this time as he competes with Harry Maguire, Michael Keane, Joe Gomez and Fikayo Tomori for a place in the team.

Following the news that Mings had made the squad, he tweeted to say that he was "very proud" to be called up again.

In response to his post, plenty of Aston Villa fans offered their congratulations to the centre-back for his latest international recognition, with some even suggesting that he should be starting for the Three Lions.
