Plenty of Aston Villa fans have revealed who they feel has been the ‘best value signing’ in the club’s history.
Sitting 19th in the Premier League table as things stand, Dean Smith’s side will be hoping to return to form when the 2019/2020 season resumes.
Spending a significant amount of money, those signings are unlikely to be deemed as a success if the Claret and Blue side suffer relegation.
Mings, who arrived on a permanent deal from Bournemouth, has performed at a consistent level, gaining an England cap in the process, whilst Wesley had begun to adapt to the English game prior to his season ending injury in January.
Looking at a number of signings over the last few years and over the club’s prestigious history, fans mentioned names such as Dwight Yorke, David Platt and current midfielder John McGinn in terms of those who have been value for money.

McGrath. Utd were looking to retire him. £400k, league runner-up, 2 league cups and the greatest player in our history.
