Aston Villa fans take to Twitter to laud sublime Grealish volley

It’s not very often that you see a footballer score a volley from an ‘on the Scholes’ position from a corner. The typical volley-specialist on the edge of the box waiting for the ball to drop nicely for them to have a crack and yesterday that was Jack Grealish. The 23-year-old scored a world-class goal to make it 4-0 against Derby.
Oh.
My.
Word.@JackGrealish1 is back! And in some style. He produces an absolute rocket volley to make it -. #PartOfThePride #AVFC pic.twitter.com/r93Sq46FrI

As goals go, the chances are that Jack Grealish isn’t going to score a goal as good as this one. When the corner ball came out to the midfielder even Grealish himself probably wouldn’t have envisaged the ball dropping perfectly into the top corner, with every single person in the stadium left speechless for a few seconds before Villa Park erupted into a storm of ecstatic Brummies.
Dean Smith seems to be really getting on with Grealish and knows exactly how to get the best out of him. The ex-Brentford gaffer made the brave decision to give the young midfielder the captain’s armband despite the fact it was his first start since 7th December, and since then he’s missed a whopping 13 Championship games, and no one expected him to bag a goal as he did on his return.

Up there with McGinn’s. Arguably better than his one against Cardiff.

The Villains on Twitter were in shock with the goal that Grealish tucked away and will be desperate for another one against Birmingham next weekend.
