Aston Villa fans took to Twitter to sweat over Grealish absence

Aston Villa fans will all be very happy this morning. The Villains absolutely love their current run of form, and their 2-1 win over Bristol City means that they’ve won eight games on the bounce for the first time since 1975. Yesterday, though, they had to do it without Jack Grealish, who missed the game through illness.

Dean Smith was forced into a couple of changes yesterday. Grealish obviously missed the game as he recovered from illness, whilst the other change that Smith made saw Tyrone Mings drop out of the starting eleven. To say that the Villains were worried ahead of the game is an understatement, and their tweets, that you’ll see below, were full of panic.

Villa Park was rocking yesterday, though, and regardless of the problems that Bristol City have caused some of the top sides in the Championship, the home support was able to help get their side across the line against the Robins. Whilst they won the game without Grealish, the supporters will be desperate for him to come back into the side as soon as possible and don’t want to take their chances for too long without the young midfielder.

You can read the Villains’ panicked tweets when seeing Grealish’s absence here:

The Villains hate the idea of going into too many more games without Grealish, and whilst they got through the Robins yesterday, they want him back for Bolton on Friday night.
