Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern will be urging their side to continue to push for an automatic promotion spot as they look to make a return to the Premier League.
Steve Bruce has managed to get the best out of the Villans this season, which has included bringing in a number of experienced heads, however, one of their brightest prospects has starred for them the most.
Jack Grealish has enjoyed one of his best years at the club and has been influential in helping the Midlands outfit push for promotion, which has attracted some unwanted interest from Premier League clubs.
Leicester City are rumoured to be interested in the player who is valued at £4.5 million by Transfermarkt, however, it appears the midfielder is happy at the club for now and is not interested in moving, according to reports in the Birmingham Mail.
“I think I’ve had a bit of a stop-start career. I came onto the scene quite early and then I paused for a bit,” he told the Birmingham Mail.
“I had a nasty injury at the start of the season and it kind of put stuff into perspective. Not playing football for six months was a big blow.
“I’ve come back and I’m doing quite well at the moment.
“I’ve got the perfect manager, the perfect staff and the perfect team to play with. Hopefully, we can get promoted.”
The locals in the Tavern will be delighted with the 22-year-old’s comments after he won the club’s goal of the season award and will be hoping they can fend off interest from the Foxes this summer.
