Aston Villa will be preparing to get back into Championship action when they face Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

And, according to a report by the Birmingham Mail, Steve Bruce remains hopeful that Yannick Bolasie will be available for the game.

The Everton winger joined the Villans on a season-long loan deal at the end of August after being told that he was surplus to requirements at Goodison Park.

However, he is yet to make his debut for the Championship outfit as of yet, as he looks to work on his fitness and match sharpness in training, something that he has also been doing during the international break.

Bolasie was left out of the team that were hammered by Sheffield United prior to the break, but Bruce spoke after the game believing the 29-year-old would be ready to make an appearance against Blackburn.

The Verdict:

Should Bolasie be fit for the match against Blackburn, it will come as a huge boost for Aston Villa.

The experienced winger would be able to create an extra attacking outlet for Bruce’s side and would be a threat going forward.

The club will be hopeful that his fitness levels are back up to where they can be and will be looking for him to make an instant impact as they look to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
