Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to this weekend as they head to Cardiff City in the Championship.
The Villans have been looking good recently and, though they drew on the opening day against Hull City, they did look a far more cohesive unit than they have for some time.
For sure, then, the club will be aiming to chalk up a win in the Welsh capital though that is always easier said than done in the second tier of English football.
And, to make matters that little bit harder, it seems as though the club will be without Andre Green for the game – as per the club’s official Twitter account:

For sure, Green is rated as one of the better young players that Villa have at the club and he’ll certainly be expected to help them throughout the season with his attacking intent.
He’s a doubt this weekend with a groin injury, though, and so the club will have to look to the likes of Gabby Agbonlahor to score.
Green is a highly rated young player and many are expecting him to enjoy a really breakthrough season this time out.
However, this groin injury will seemingly keep him out this weekend and it remains to be seen just how severe it ends up being though it’s likely he’ll be back in the fold before too long.
