Aston Villa will host Preston North End on Tuesday night as Steve Bruce’s side look to record just their fourth victory this season.
The Villans have struggled in the Championship so far, having won once in their last eight games, which has cranked up the pressure on the manager.
Fans have become disgruntled with the performances that the Villa Park outfit have been producing and have called for changes to be made.
However, the match against Preston may have come at a great time for Aston Villa, as the visitors currently sit bottom of the league table.
Tammy Abraham is one of those that is considered doubtful for the home match and will need to be assessed prior to kick-off.
The Chelsea forward had to come off in their draw with Bristol City last Friday with an apparent calf injury.
Scott Hogan and Keinan Davis are still unavailable for selection with groin trouble, although the pair have been slowly edging their way back to training.
Yannick Bolasie will be pushing for his first start since completing a loan move from Everton, having made four substitute appearances in the process.
The pressure is continuing to mount on Bruce and fans will be expecting the side to get a win against rock-bottom Preston on Tuesday.
However, their opponents should not be written off and could easily cause the Villans some trouble should they not approach the game in the correct manner.
There will be a concern on whether Abraham will be fit in time to face the Deepdale outfit, although Jonathan Kodjia will likely lead the line.
