Aston Villa will turn their attention towards the FA Cup on Saturday when they host Swansea City at Villa Park.
Dean Smith’s side will take a break from their efforts to win promotion from the Championship when they meet their divisional rivals.
Tammy Abraham will be unavailable for the game against the Swans as he will be ineligible for selection.
The Chelsea forward has a clause in his loan agreement with the Villans stating that he is unable to participate in cup competitions.
Jack Grealish and Axel Tuanzebe will also miss out, although Lovre Kalinic could make his debut for the club as his transfer has been made official.
Abraham’s absence will come as a huge blow to Aston Villa and their chances of qualifying for the next round of the FA Cup.
The 21-year-old was the difference between the two sides when they met in October in the Championship and has been a key member of Smith’s side.
However, Villa will be pleased that the striker, who has been heavily touted with a move away from Villa Park this January, is not injured and should be available to return to action next weekend against Wigan Athletic.
