Aston Villa will want to put an end to their four-match winless streak in the Championship on Saturday when they host Ipswich Town at Villa Park.
Dean Smith’s side have hit a real slump in form over recently, with their last victory coming against Swansea City on Boxing Day.
The game against one of the Championship’s strugglers may have come at a good time for The Villans though, as a number of their players are thought to be in contention to return.
According to the match preview on the club’s official website, Mile Jedinak, Glenn Whelan, Scott Hogan, Ahmed Elmohamady, Jonathan Kodjia, Andre Green and Kourtney Hause are all available.
Jedinak and Whelan could play the whole game as the experienced duo are both fully fit from calf and shoulder concerns.
The likes of Hogan, Elmohamady, Kodjia, Green and Hause all featured for the club in a behind-closed-doors friendly in midweek and gained valuable minutes.
However, Orjan Nyland, Jack Grealish, Axel Tuanzebe and Henri Lansbury all remain unavailable.
Smith and Aston Villa will be encouraged that the club is starting to get a number of their players back fit and available.
The Villans have had to make do without a few of their key men for a number of games and will look to start pushing on with their promotion aspirations.
Although Ipswich will pose a difficult test, Smith will want to see his side put in a quality performance and come away with the three points.
