Aston Villa are showing everyone in the Championship exactly what they’re capable of at this moment in time, as they continue to dominate anyone who stands in their way.
The Villans haven’t managed to secure a play-off place just yet but they’re in a fantastic position at this moment in time, with a win in tomorrow’s game putting them within touching distance.
Aston Villa will welcome Millwall to Villa Park tomorrow in what will be a tough fixture.
What’s the News?
However, the Midlands club will face an anxious wait ahead of kick-off tomorrow, as according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news, Aston Villa will check on Tammy Abraham.
The Englishman overcame a hamstring injury to face Bolton on Friday, but hurt his shoulder in the victory.
Of course, having him in the side is crucial at this stage in the season but at the same time they won’t want to risk making anything worse with the play-offs possibly on the horizon.
Tammy Abraham, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has been a level above most players in the Championship this season having produced 25 goals in all competitions.
Millwall are unbeaten in their last four Championship fixtures and they’ve picked up points against the likes of Sheffield United and Brentford recently, so it won’t be easy for Dean Smith’s men.
Of course, Abraham would have a big part to play in the final third with his finishing ability often winning games for the Midlands club, but here’s no point in risking him at this stage.
Aston Villa fans, how big of a blow would it be if Abraham isn’t fit enough to feature tomorrow? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
