Aston Villa fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure promotion to the Premier League, as they still stand a chance of pushing for an automatic place.
The Villains have been one of the form teams in the second half of the current campaign but failed to make the most of a promising position with negative results in their last two Championship fixtures as they fell to two defeats. Although, one positive is that Jack Grealish has been influential since returning from injury, and will play a key part in their play-off push if they fall short in the race for automatic promotion.
Indeed, Jack Grealish has been one of the best players in the Championship so far this season but could quite easily be at a Premier League side, with Villa needing to ensure promotion for the Englishman to even think about staying.
The Landlord here in the Tavern believes that Aston Villa will lose their go-to man in the summer if they fail to reach the top-flight, as the 22-year-old’s performances so far this season have been a level above the rest. And, with Premier League clubs likely to come calling in the summer transfer window, they’ll struggle to stop the attacking midfielder moving away from Villa Park.
Nevertheless, we’re asking supporters, would Jack Grealish stay if Aston Villa don’t get promoted?
