Aston Villa will hope to rise up the table quick enough to again challenge for a spot in the promotion places.
Right now, it could be considered unlikely that Aston Villa will do that. However, with the players that they have, it wouldn’t be at all surprising for anyone to see them make a late surge into the play-off places.
They did make some signings in the January transfer window but whether or not they find themselves in the top-flight next season, they must invest some more in order to improve.
Clubs cannot afford to stand still in today’s current market so signing a player like Nottingham Forest’s Joe Lolley would be a very good decision to make.
Lolley, (who is valued at £450k on Transfermarkt) has endured a very strong campaign at the City Ground, where he has gone from strength to strength helping his side in-front of goal.
Despite Nottingham Forest not being as successful as they would have hoped to be, Martin O’Neill and his side remain in with a chance of getting into the play-off places.
The 26-year-old has been massively helping towards that ambition, highlighted by the eight goals and further eight assists he has so far provided this campaign.
His spell in the Championship has been brief but it was easy for Joe Lolley to adapt, likewise it would be if he was to be playing top flight football with Aston Villa next season.
He is a hard-working midfielder that can play in a number of positions useful for Villa.
Normally used as a wide player, he can also be utilised in a more central attacking role but either way, Aston Villa have the chance to find where they think is best for him.
