Aston Villa would brilliantly improve their strike-force with £10.8m-rated Porto talisman

The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting more nervous every single day towards the lead up of their play-off final match against Fulham, where the winner can look forward to playing Premier League football once again.

Aston Villa, you could argue, have had a more turbulent season that Fulham and that is largely due to the mixture of form their players have endured. Particularly up-front, the Villans at times have struggled for a goalscorer and that’s exactly why this summer, Villa need to try and sign Porto’s brilliant talisman Moussa Marega, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt. Villa’s goals have come from an array of players this season but one man who could guarantee to single-handily help their side out is Marega. This season alone, the 27-year-old has scored 23 goals as well as an impressive 8 assists in 40 appearances for the Portuguese champions.

His goals have certainly been a huge factor on Porto’s success, placing 3rd top goalscorer in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. The Mali international had been loaned out a number of times by Porto over the last few years until this season and what an incredible season he’s endured, proving that Porto may have been wrong all along and needed him as their talisman.

Moussa Marega has really shown he has it all this season, pace, power, goals, the lot to be honest. Of course with stunning statistics like his, Marega will likely be a name rumoured with a lot of teams but none would profit more so than Aston Villa. If the Villans can get promoted and secure the services of talented hit-man Moussa Marega, the future immediately looks a lot brighter for Steve Bruce and his team.
