Aston Villa’s financial problems are so severe at the moment that the club are looking at a mass exodus ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign.
The Villans are currently struggling to keep afloat with cash-flow problems persist, which has already seen John Terry leave the club as a consequence.
Steve Bruce is bracing himself for plenty more of his players to depart as the club looks to ease their concerns, with Jonathan Kodjia being one name mentioned consistently at the moment.
The Ivory Coast international striker is thought to be a wanted man by a number of teams this summer as they prepare to cash in on Aston Villa’s dire situation and a report in the Birmingham Mail has given an insight to how much he could be available for.
Aston Villa are in a powerless position at the moment and £12m would be considered a bargain price for a player of Kodjia’s ability.
Despite last season’s Championship campaign, where he had spent the majority of it recovering from serious injuries, the Ivorian has proven to be a prolific goalscorer in the division, which has seen interest from Leeds United in the past.
Losing a man of Kodjia’s talent would be a huge blow to Bruce’s side this summer, however, they may not be able to resist cashing in on the player to help ease their concerns.
