Steve Bruce appears to have had quite the impact on the Aston Villa fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve been enjoying his spell in charge of a club that had appeared to be nosediving even further into the Championship table.

So, reports from the Daily Star suggesting the club could look to bring in a Premier League forward in January has only lightened the mood even further.
They claim Middlesbrough forward Jordan Rhodes is of interest to the club, with the Scotsman having lost his place in the national side after Alvaro Negredo arrived at the Riverside.
