The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern who’ve been drowning their sorrows for much of the past year or so are delighted to hear new manager Roberto Di Matteo is prepared to further trim a squad that disappointed them so much last year.
Though the Midlands giants quite clearly possess a huge amount of talent, their big name players failed to perform last year as the club meekly surrendered their Premier League status.
So, there’ been a ‘Three Cheers’ to reports from the Daily Telegraph claiming the Italian is willing to sell Scott Sinclair, as Celtic gear up for a THIRD bid.
Having worked with the 27-year old at Swansea City, Hoops chief Brendan Rodgers is understood to have made two attempts to lure the forward North of the Border.
While they are said to have been rebuffed, the Glasgow giants are said to be plotting a third attempt to land him.
Would Sinclair improve Celtic?
