Aston Villa will be desperate to secure all three points in the Second City derby tomorrow as they face their bitter rivals Birmingham City.
The Villains can’t afford to slip-up if they are to secure a play-off spot in the current campaign after struggling to ensure any consistency towards the start of the season.
However, with the club heading into the January transfer window in search of reinforcements, perhaps Dean Smith and Nassef Sawiris should turn their attention to a number of the club’s youngsters.
Indeed, the Midlands club managed to produce Jack Grealish and could be set to make millions on him at some point in the future, so they shouldn’t hesitate to try and chance their luck once again.
With that in mind, these TWO Aston Villa youngsters could save Sawiris multi-millions…
The 20-year-old was the star of the show for Villa’s Under-23 side last term, and could be ready to make the step up in this season’s Championship.
It’s fair to say that the youngster has already showcased his talents against some of the best as he scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 victory against Newcastle, and then went one better by producing a stand out performance in a 4-0 win over Southampton, with Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk struggling to contain him during his days at St Mary’s.
So, with the foundations in place and a bright future ahead of him, it’s about time Smith started to gift him regular minutes in the side to really boost his worth.
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is a product of Villa’s youth academy, who has been lighting up the Under-23 league and making his way up the international age groups with England.
The youngster has already made seven appearances in the first team this season as one of the hottest prospects in English football, but he just hasn’t been able to provide any contributions so far.
Nevertheless, the 20-year-old has the ability to follow in Jack Grealish’s footsteps and will no doubt play a huge part in the future of the club.
